The Full Cupboard
Raising Food, Funds and Awareness for Hunger
Did you know that 31.5% of food bank users in British Columbia are children? This startling statistic reflects food bank usage on Vancouver Island. That’s why we launched The Full Cupboard, an innovative community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks in the communities where Island Savings operates.
Our goal is to raise funds to serve the equivalent of 650,000 meals to Islanders in partnership with our local food banks. That works out to approximately $73,000 fundraised annually. Help us get there!
How can you help?
Join us in reducing hunger in our local communities by supporting The Full Cupboard.
Ways to Donate
- In branch. Cash and non-perishable food items can be donated at any Island Savings branch (and you don't need to be a member, although we hope you are!)
- Online! A one-time contribution, or through regular, pre-authorized payment. Donations over $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt from your local food bank.
The great thing about The Full Cupboard is that all food and funds collected in your community will STAY in your community - and THAT's a great way to ensure every penny counts!
