Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, Cassandra joined Island Savings in 2011. She has recently returned to the Valley after working in Alberta as a Senior Financial Advisor. She enjoys getting to know her members, helping establish their investment goals and objectives, and taking a seamless holistic approach to building a suitable and sustainable financial strategy. Licensed in mutual funds, along with Level 1 Financial Planning and working towards her CFP designation, Cassandra also has extensive background in banking and lending. Her skills allow her to capture a full financial snapshot to better serve her members. Cassandra has embraced Island Savings’ member-centric culture and enjoys volunteering in her community. She is truly passionate about building strong and lasting relationships with members for years to come.

Travis has been helping credit union members achieve their financial goals since 2007. He is one of the most accredited financial advisors in the province, holding his CFA, CFP, CIM, FCSI, CSWP, CIWM and Certified Professional Consultant on Aging designations. Margaret came to Canada from Dublin, Ireland in 1975. She raised her family in the small town of Granisle and in Fort St. John, where she worked with the School District and taught Irish Step Dancing classes before moving to Vancouver Island in 1987. Margaret has been in the financial industry since 1998 and joined Island Savings in 2002. She chose Island Savings because of the culture of independence that allows her the freedom to offer unbiased financial advice specializing in managing income-oriented portfolios to meet the needs of her clients. Margaret holds her Certified Financial Planner designation. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, yoga, golf and reading and is an active member of the Cowichan Estuary Restoration and Conservation Alliance.

Lynn has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry in both advisory and management positions. She also has five years of experience in marketing and sponsorship. As Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Advice, Lynn is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and coaching to the Wealth Management sales & service teams. She also manages Island Savings’ relationship with Credential Financial Inc. Lynn is passionate about ensuring our members have a remarkable financial planning experience, and takes pleasure in knowing that our advisors are making a difference in the financial lives of our members. Lynn lives in the Cowichan Valley with her husband. In 2014, she climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and raised almost $30,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society of BC in memory of her father and grandmother.

Adrien is a long-time resident of the Cowichan Valley. She’s been with the credit union for 23 years and with the Wealth Management team for a decade. Adrien holds her Branch Compliance Officers Course, Investment Funds in Canada, as well as her Associate of Commerce (Finance). From our Regional Office in Duncan, Adrien serves as the liason between Island Savings and Credential, managing reporting, registrations, licensing and compliance. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family at the local ice arena and dance studio.

Loretta grew up in northern British Columbia and moved to Vancouver Island in 1975. She spent many years in Honeymoon Bay and Lake Cowichan before moving to Duncan in 1987. Loretta studied at St. Paul’s University in Ottawa before joining Island Savings in 1986. She enjoyed many different roles in member service and administration before becoming an administrative assistant. Loretta specializes in finding solutions, helping members with their non-trade and banking needs, and keeping her team organized. She has taken numerous accounting and bookkeeping courses and completed CUIC - Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning and CUIC - Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending. Loretta is an avid learner and continues to educate herself by taking courses at the local college and by correspondence. She is also a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant.

Kathy has lived on the Island for more than 40 years, and her hometown is beautiful Ladysmith, BC. She joined Island Savings in 2009 and enjoyed roles in banking and member service before becoming an administrative assistant. Kathy has extensive experience in customer service, administration and management, as well as sales and event planning. Before joining Island Savings, she worked as the development manager at the Chemainus Theatre Festival where she implemented membership campaigns and fundraising activities and managed sponsorships, advertising sales and contracts. Kathy’s favourite parts of her job are building long-term relationships and knowing that her team is making a positive difference in the financial lives of members.
